You will help us to grow and extend our Eco Charging solution for electric vehicles at highway and fleet locations. This is a smart IoT solution that connects to EV charging equipment, solar panels, battery storage systems, heat pumps and more. It optimizes the energy flows such that all needs are met at the lowest cost and the lowest environmental impact.

This is a full-time position in our office in Delft. We offer a hybrid model of working two days at the office, and three days from home. We offer competitive salary packages, in line with your experience and competences.

Your responsibilities 

• You will join a dynamic company that cares about people and team spirit. This job is varied and challenging, and offers the opportunity to grow together with the organization.
• The focus of this role is backend development and embedded/IoT solutions. In particular, you will be responsible for the cloud processing of data generated by our IoT devices. The implemented solution needs to integrate nicely with the portal that allows our users to supervise and control their charging sites.
• We also expect you to tackle development tasks concerning the software running on our IoT devices if the need arises. 

Your background 

• At least five years’ experience as a software developer.
• Master’s degree in informatics, computer science, industrial science or equivalent experience
• Passionate about clean architecture and SOLID software design principles.
• Experience with the Linux operating system.
• Strong knowledge of Java and idealy Golang.
• Knowledge of NodeJS is a plus.
• You are eager to learn, not afraid to make mistakes and enjoy applying new techniques.
• You are involved in discussions on how the right techniques are used for the various functionalities.
• You enjoy taking the initiative and to come up with proposals for improvements.
• You are fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing).
• You are passionate about clean technology and innovation towards a sustainable future.
• You have an analytical and creative mind and can get things done. You can work well in a team of skilled professionals.
