As a Computational Modeling Engineer, you will join an innovative engineering team within a leading international health technology organization. You will support research and development activities through advanced simulations and physics-based models, providing deep insight into system and product behaviour. Your work will help development teams make faster, more informed design decisions and bring innovative solutions to market more efficiently.

What will you do?

Develop, apply, and validate physics-based simulation models for research and development projects.

Support product design and optimization through computational modeling and virtual prototyping.

Translate simulation results into actionable insights and recommendations for engineering and R&D teams.

Contribute to the growth of computational physics and modeling expertise within the organization.

Explore and implement new modeling methodologies, numerical techniques, and simulation tools.

Collaborate with specialists in multiphysics, biophysics, solid mechanics, and fluid dynamics.

Support innovation initiatives across medical technology, diagnostics, patient monitoring, and other healthcare applications.

You are analytical, curious, and passionate about solving complex engineering challenges. You combine a strong scientific foundation with a hands-on mindset and can translate research outcomes into practical solutions for product development. You are proactive, take ownership of technical challenges, and thrive in a multidisciplinary R&D environment.

In addition, you have:

A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Operations Research, or a related technical field.

At least 2 years of relevant experience in computational modeling, simulation engineering, industrial research, or a comparable environment. Candidates with a relevant Master's degree and limited work experience are also encouraged to apply.

Experience with physics-based modeling, mechanical simulations, solid mechanics, or dynamics.

Experience with one or more simulation tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL, OpenFOAM, or Marc-Mentat.

Experience translating simulation results into practical engineering solutions.

Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Must live in the Netherlands, within 50 km from Eindhoven.
