Senior Java Backend Developer About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications that power our cloud-native platform. You will work on microservices-based architectures, build robust RESTful APIs, and contribute to large-scale distributed systems. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain microservices-based architectures and RESTful APIs that serve high-volume traffic
• Develop cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services and best practices
• Design and optimize database solutions using NoSQL technologies, particularly DynamoDB
• Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code while adhering to coding standards and architectural best practices
• Participate in code reviews, identify bugs, and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Debug complex issues, perform performance tuning, and optimize system efficiency across distributed environments
• Implement monitoring and observability solutions using Grafana and related tools to ensure system reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions
• Contribute to architecture discussions and support the development of large-scale, distributed applications
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and ensure adherence to SDLC processes
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in backend development and cloud computing

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in Java Backend Development
• Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17+ with deep understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns
• Hands-on expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture design and implementation
• Strong understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) and proven problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated experience designing and developing REST APIs with proper error handling and validation
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native application development
• Strong experience with NoSQL databases, particularly DynamoDB, including schema design and optimization
• Proficiency with Git and version control best practices
• Proven experience working on large-scale, high-volume distributed systems
• Strong understanding of application scalability, resiliency, and performance optimization principles
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and coding skills with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of security best practices and secure coding standards
• Experience with message queues and event-driven architectures
• Contribution to open-source projects or demonstrated passion for continuous learning
• Experience with agile development methodologies
