For our client, a US multinational and manufacturing company with an EMEA FSSC based in Venlo, we are recruiting a Sr. Accountant (upcoming Teamleader Accounting).

Description

As an employee of the EMEA Accounting Team you will directly support the Manager Accounting EMEA in the US GAAP processes and the Director Accounting EMEA in the Local GAAP process. In addition to this you will be the accounting partner for finance colleagues from other disciplines, regions and business units. As a Senior Accountant you will have development opportunities within the finance department. As the upcoming Teamleader Accounting, a next step can be the Manager Accounting position.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Deliver timely and accurate standard work and reporting for the defined entities, which will be a set of holding entities and sales offices from various countries in Europe. This will include the full US GAAP accounting and statutory accounting process. Tasks will consists out of the month end close cycle, preparation and filing of VAT declaration, reporting for national statistics, completion of quarterly and annual tax packs, preparation of bridges to local gaap adjustments.
• For various sales offices in Southern Europe the accounting is outsourced. You will be the main contact person with these accountant. As part of this function you will also be responsible for the US GAAP reporting of these entities.
• You will support the manager accounting in the month end close process with respect to consolidation activities.
• Review of outgoing payments on several elements, like bank details and amount.
• Review of monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations for a predefined group of entities.
• Support the director accounting in the preparation of the annual statutory audits for a predefined group of entities.
• Hyperion is used as the consolidation tool for the financial. You will be the go-to person within Europe for questions on Hyperion.
• Ad hoc queries on various accounting and finance matters
• Ensure accounting standards are adhered to both internal protocols (SOX compliance) and external legislative requirements.
• Manage and deliver continuous improvement of processes and systems in line with the EMEA business strategy and Key Performance Indicators.

Job Offer

• A contract for 40 or 32 hours with permanent intent.
• An annual gross salary within the range: € 50.000,= > € 62.500,= (including 8% holiday allowance).
